Timshel Education

At Timshel Education, we reverse-engineer learning. Instead of using a standardized curriculum, we start with what a student is passionate about and build a comprehensive, well-rounded education from there. Using our proprietary software and expert mentors, we create a flexible, customized learning path that fosters a genuine love of learning.

Empowering Utah's Learners

The landscape of education in Utah is changing. Now more than ever, families are empowered to seek out and select educational services that are the right fit for their children. This new marketplace of opportunity calls for innovative visions for what education can be—and that is exactly what we provide.

Timshel Education is designed for this new era. Here’s how we deliver high-quality, customized learning:

Our Philosophy: The "Timshel" Principle

The name "Timshel" is inspired by John Steinbeck's East of Eden and the Hebrew word meaning "Thou mayest." This represents our fundamental belief in providing learners with a choice. Where the current educational system often operates as a "thou shalt" model, we have designed a "thou mayest" system.

"The chief impediments to learning are not cognitive. It is not that students cannot learn; it is that they do not wish to."
— Dr. Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi
